Today, we pause for a moment to honour the memory of someone who embodied strength and kindness. Today, we remember Jo Batten, a friend, colleague and team mate who left a lasting mark on all those fortunate enough to have known her.

She was a force of nature—strong not just in character, but in spirit. Her resilience in the face of life’s challenges was an inspiration to everyone around her. She carried herself with grace, no matter the obstacles.

But alongside that strength was an endless kindness. She had the unique ability to make everyone feel seen and heard. Whether it was a comforting word, a simple act of care, or just her reassuring presence, she touched the hearts of all who crossed her path.

Today let us take a moment to reflect on her memory, the love she gave, and the way she uplifted the people around her. She was a reminder to us all that it is possible to be both strong and compassionate.

As Jo’s favourite phrase - In a world where you can be anything, be kind. Let this inspire us in our actions today and every day. By choosing kindness, we honour her memory and ensure that her light continues to shine through us.

On behalf of everyone at WBHC - we miss you Jo!
